We are the Rocky Mountain Hound Association of Colorado,
licensed in 2009 by the AKC (American Kennel Club).
OUR MISSION: To further the advancement of all purebred
Hound breed dogs, while ensuring to preserve the history and
purpose for which each unique Hound was created.
ORGANIZED TO: Protect and advance the interests of all
purebred Hound breed dogs, with an important emphasis on
sportsmanlike competition at dog shows and other dog events,
dog activities, dog health testing, etc.
CLUB GOALS: To conduct licensed dog shows, obedience trails,
sanctioned matches, field events (such as lure coursing, field
trails, hunt tests, tracking & trailing tests, agility trails &
earth dog competition).
MEMBERSHIP: Is open to those in good standing with the AKC,
those that have or are interested in obtaining a purebred Hound,
and requires two (2) RMHA sponsors. Membership Dues are
paid annually, $15 full membership, $10 non-voting member.

WE WELCOME and enjoy the opportunity to help others learn
about Hounds! We represent all of the 25 Hound Breeds...
Afghan, American Foxhound, Basenji, Basset Hound, Beagle,
Black & Tan Coonhound, Bloodhound, Blue Tick Coonhound,
Borzoi, Dachshund, English Foxhound, Greyhound, Harrier, Ibizian
Irish Wolfhound,Norwegian Elkhound, Otterhound, PBGV, Pharoah,
Plott, Red Bone Coonhound, Rodesian Ridgeback, Saluki, Scottish
Deerhound, & Whippet... Most Hound breeds have a national
organization & and some also have a regional club. We support
these clubs along with their specific breed efforts, as we, the
Rocky Mountain Hound Association, provide local energy & efforts
for all Hound breeds, thereby strengthening their position and the
Hound community in the Colorado, Rocky Mountain area. Below
